So I help others with their writing and editing needs because everyone needs to communicate but not everyone knows how. To that end, I am now the public relations and communications manager for Perficient, the leading digital transformation consulting firm serving Global 2000 and enterprise customers throughout North America.
Besides serving the corporate sector, I also serve the public in numerous volunteer roles — as president of the St. Louis Media History Foundation, which procures and evaluates media history-related materials for research and public display; as a board member for Gateway Media Literacy Partners, which advances media awareness and knowledge as a survival skill, a nexus for change, and a vital element in critical thinking; and as a member of the St. Louis chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, which strives to advance professional standards in business.
Other memberships include:
- American Copy Editors Society
- Community Service Public Relations Council
- Investigative Reporters and Editors
- International Webmasters Association
- Editorial Freelancers Association
- Online News Association
Also, I have served as an adjunct journalism professor at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., and have advised journalism students on a voluntary basis at The Journal student newspaper at Webster University.
